CONSTRUCT A LIFEBOAT TO RESCUE THE GLOBAL CLIMATE!
What will happen in Bonn?
July 21st, 2001 -- Thousands of people from all over Europe gather in central Bonn to build a colossal lifeboat. Many are wearing blue clothing, and they have brought their messages and demands to the world leaders on a piece of wood. Using these planks, the participants construct a colossal Lifeboat (by attaching the planks to a prepared skeleton), that eventually will have a length of 30 metres!
The Lifeboat, surrounded by a blue "sea of people", is then dragged in a carnivalesque procession to the venue of the climate conference and solemnly set up as a monument of people's concerns about climate change. Music, speeches and other events accompany the whole action -- it's going to be a lively thing!
On the evening of the day the lifeboat has been built, there will be a terrific Lifeboat Builder's Party -- making sure that you will never forget this important weekend!
We invite people from all over Europe (and this also means YOU!) to come to Bonn to take part in this wonderful action. Don't miss this exciting weekend and bring all your friends!

The actual action is on Saturday, July 21st, but our programme starts already on Friday evening, July 20th, and lasts until Sunday morning, July 22nd. We provide simple accomodation for free and offer cheap, vegetarian food. detailed programme
