Christina Bedocs is running for the Tompkins County Board of Representatives in District 7 which includes the towns of Caroline and Danby. Christina is running, exclusively as a green, against one other candidate, the republican incumbent Frank Proto.
Christina is a Tompkins County native with an impressive record in our community. Christina has worked as a floor manager at GreenStar and for the Tompkins County Courthouse as an officer to the court for three judges. She’s spent the last eight summers working for children with special needs, helped to build a community playground in Dryden, and has volunteered with AIDSWORK for various projects and fundraising. Some issues that she's thinking about are regulating development in rural areas, letting towns have input into county projects such as radio towers, and encouraging the keeping of open land as well as developing local agriculture and local, sustainable sources of energy.
Christina's campaign committee will be meeting this Sunday, October 7 at 7:00 PM at 472 Central Chapel Road, Brooktondale NY -- all registered Greens welcome. Call (607) 539 7490 for more information or write paul@honeylocust.com
